In 1993 Lisa Ruffin created the Little Miss African American Scholarship Pageant to help Black girls understand that they posses unlimited possibilities. Young ladies from ages 6-12 were able to participate and helped them with public speaking and so much more.

Ruffin said, “Within each girl, is the promise of unlimited possibilities, and the pageant is a vehicle for bringing that potential to the forefront.”

This year they celebrated the 24th anniversary and the winner was Krista Campbell, daughter of Erica and Warren Campbell. Judges ranged from stars such as Penny Johnson Jerald, James Pickens Jr. and more.

Krista will receive a scholarship and we are so proud of her and this achievement.
