A family in Detroit is left brokenhearted after an accident on I-94 left four young adults dead. According to Fox 2 Detroit, the toddler that was in the back seat survived. One family member said, “God saved that baby.”

The baby, who’s name is Josiah just turned one on Saturday. The crash killed his mother, her best friend, his uncle and cousin. Londa Nixon, the aunt mentioned that the baby was named after a Hebrew king which means “God has healed.” Nixon also said, “His name says it all: Josiah. She got his name from the Bible. We teased her about it – you want his name to be Josiah? She said yeah I like that name, i don’t know the reason why. It’s just like a miracle that nothing’s wrong with him – nothing.”

Baby Josiah was in the car seat and was strapped up with his seatbelt on when the car crashed into the 8 Mile bridge. A witness said, “The car came past doing about 80, flew past us and then he hit the wall and spun out of control.” The witnesses tried to help the passengers after the accident occurred, but still the only survivor was the baby. A fund will be set up to help with funeral cost and we will continue to keep this family in our prayers.
