Chinnitta Morris, also known as “Chocolate,” chatted with Erica Campbell and GRIFF! Chinnitta was at the height of her comedy career, and she walked away to do Christian comedy. “God called me out,” she says, explaining that He reminded her who she was doing it for. Chinitta recalls how she remained strong when she was still making her transition fully over to Christian comedy- with the help of a certain Mary Mary song.
GRIFF talks about the advice he got from Chinnitta when he was still deciding between paths himself. She also talks about what the challenge is to be funny in 2017, in a industry where just about everything is accepted. Plus, she talks about joining forces with fellow female comedians to put their own tour together, and navigating love and romance after divorce.
