Wendy Williams didn’t know what she nests she knocked on when she came for the Clark Sisters on her show. Fans were not pleased and handled it quickly. Twinkie Clark of the gospel group says Williams is welcomed to come to her stage play Hallelujah.

“It would be nice if she came out,” explained Twinkie. “It would certainly clear the air.” There’s a new stage play called Hallelujah that chronicles the life and career of the Clark Sisters.

“They call us the legendary Clark Sisters and I think that all that comes from the years that we’ve got into the music,” explained Twinkie. “How we started out with our father being the pastor of the church and my mother the director of the choir and the Lord had opened many doors to where we are now.”

Larry Clark, Twinkie’s nephew wrote the play and likens it to a Broadway show.

“It’s 7 decades and 2 hours long. From 1957 to 2018,” expressed Larry. “It’s a lot to cover…it’s sort of like Broadway, we move really quickly.”

If you’re in Detroit, check out the show on May 12-13.
