Watch Faith Evans Belt Out ‘His Eye Is On The Sparrow’ At Kim Porter’s Funeral

Kim Porter was laid to rest in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia. Photos and videos have popped up on social media of the beautiful service, which appeared to perfectly eulogize the model, actress and mother. However, there is one video that has gone rightfully viral — Grammy winner Faith Evans singing “His Eye Is On The Sparrow.”

Evans sang a rendition of the traditional hymn and, as expected, she brought the church vocals with her dynamic agility and gospelized technique.

Lil Kim, Tyrese, Russell Simmons, Kimora Lee, Andre Harrell, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Fat Joe and DJ Khaled were reportedly all in attendance to say goodbye to Kim Porter.

Porter died on Nov. 15, exactly one month before her birthday on December 15, in her Toluca Lake, California, home. She was only 47 years old. Her cause of death has not been confirmed, but she was reportedly receiving treatment for pneumonia and went into cardiac arrest.
