“Sunshine” represents a fresh sound for Nia, blending contemporary and urban vibes to showcase a different side of her artistry. “I wanted to do something different… just to show people a different side of who Nia Allen is as an artist,” she shared enthusiastically. But that’s not all Nia has in store. She’s also working on a full project titled Hope is Rising, which features collaborations with notable artists like Aaron Lindsay, Joanne Rosario, and Major. Nia co-wrote many of the songs on the project and is particularly excited about the diverse collaborations, including a Spanish version of her song “Wait” with Rosario and a powerful track titled “Just You Wait” with Major.
Beyond her music, Nia’s academic achievements are equally impressive. She graduated from Berklee College of Music, earned a master’s degree from Vanderbilt, and even completed a doctorate in ministry. Nia credits her education with helping her bridge the gap between music and ministry, allowing her to connect with people from all walks of life.
