Annatoria, Motown Gospel’s latest artist, is bringing a fresh take on Christmas music with her new EP Present Jesu. The Zimbabwean artist’s Christmas project is deeply personal, drawing from her own unique holiday experiences growing up in Africa. Unlike the typical cold, snowy Christmas many people are used to, Annatoria recalls warm, joyful summer celebrations, with outdoor activities and icy treats, which she wanted to capture through her music.

“Present Jesu” focuses on the significance of Jesus’ birth and its transformative impact. Annatoria’s deep-rooted connection to her African heritage is evident in the music, as she blends traditional African sounds with gospel themes, giving listeners a taste of both her culture and her faith.
Having been involved in music from a young age, Annatoria’s passion for gospel music intensified as she grew older. Raised in a Christian household with parents who are pastors, she says her decision to follow Christ led her to channel her music and writing around Him. “When you love someone so much, it’s hard not to talk about them,” Annatoria shared, explaining why all her songs revolve around her faith.
