“We just want to encourage those in a relationship to work through it,” Tamela said. “Work through the ups and downs because it comes with ups and downs, and you can stay in love.” David echoed her sentiment, adding that, despite their success and experiences traveling the world, what they cherish most is simply spending time together. “What we enjoy most is just sitting back, doing nothing, and enjoying each other’s company,” he shared.

When asked for advice for newlyweds, Tamela stressed the importance of selflessness. “I always say, try to outdo each other doing for each other because nothing goes lacking or wanting,” she explained. David added that couples should make an effort to stay in love and maintain the excitement they had in the early days. “Find that spot and keep that spot,” he advised.

For couples married for decades who may be struggling, Tamela suggested rekindling the romance by “redating each other” and bringing new energy into the relationship. “Do some things a little different, change it up,” she said. David added that one of the simplest yet most effective ways to strengthen a marriage is to communicate openly. “Sometimes you simply just gotta ask, ‘What do I need to do?’” he shared.

The Manns’ message was one of love, resilience, and intentionality in relationships. As they celebrated another Valentine’s Day together, they reminded couples to cherish one another, communicate, and continuously nurture their bond.
