Pringle shared how the decision to revisit “Perfect Peace” came about. “More songs mean something to people, even this day and time,” he said. With the help of longtime collaborator Paul Parker, Pringle felt it was the right moment to breathe new life into the song, connecting with both longtime fans and new listeners alike. He also reflected on his nearly 50-year career in gospel music as he approaches his 73rd birthday next month.
Speaking about what the song means to him personally, Pringle emphasized the importance of gratitude and recognizing God’s sustaining power. “Every day we wake up, we gotta realize it’s not us that will hold us up. It’s God keeping us another day,” he said. He expressed concern over the current state of the world, noting how many people are struggling with illness, confusion, and hardship, but reminded listeners that through every storm, God remains the source of peace.
When asked about advice for younger gospel artists, Pringle’s message was clear: keep God first. “If you’re talking about the Lord, you must keep Him first and centered. Your whole idea and plan have to be based on that. If you don’t, you’re gonna lose your mark,” he explained. He also stressed the importance of humility and respecting those who help along the way. “Remember where you came from, because surely, you can go back or you can be taken higher.”
