For over 30 years Oprah Winfrey and longtime boyfriend have been together, but never said, “I do.”
According to TODAY, in the early 90’s, her boyfriend, Stedman Graham asked her to marry her, but they decided not to go through with it.
Oprah in a recent interview revealed the reason why she never married and said, “Nobody believes it, but it’s true. The only time I brought it up was when I said to Stedman, What would have happened if we had actually gotten married? And the answer is: ‘We wouldn’t be together.'”
She also said the two have different interpretations of what roles would have been.
Oprah has no regrets about it, but revealed that last year tabloids sparked rumors that they had a wedding and she began getting calls from friends.
The two are happy just the way they are.
