Erica Campbell reads Proverbs 23:4 for this Faith Walk, which instructs us “don’t wear yourself out trying to get wealth.” It’s easy to work with your sights set on one day having a lavish, wealthy lifestyle. But the problem with that is if we are working to gain money for the wrong reasons, we still won’t be satisfied when we get it. People sometimes use money to prove to others and themselves that they are worthy, but you have to fall in love with yourself without the money.

Money isn’t guaranteed, even after you strike it big and get rich- it could all go away in the an instance. If it does, will you have something left? You don’t want to gain the world and lose your soul because at the end of the day, your soul is all you really have. Balance your desire for money with you desire for God.
