The Musical Soul Food Network is launching it’s first annual Musical Soul Food Festival this summer at Virginia Beach’s Chesapeake City Park, where they’ll also honor Dr. Bobby Jones.
The park will be taken over by gospel music enthusiasts for a day full of sports activities, food and live performances, in which Jones has been named the honorary host on June 25. Having hosted cable TV’s longest running TV series, Bobby Jones Gospel, on BET for 35 years, the gospel vet will be recognized for his contributions to the music industry/ministry.
The celebration kicks off on June 24 with a live radio broadcast and a party celebrating Black Gospel Promo founder Veda Brown’s 15 years of service in faith-based digital marketing.
