Bradford, who describes the song as a personal and heartfelt project, explained, “This song is an older traditional one, but I made it my own. I used to sing it as a child, and it touched my heart deeply. After going through some personal struggles, I felt God urging me to revisit it. I wanted to offer it not only for myself but for others who are facing challenges.”
The track, a modern take on a classic, showcases Bradford’s deep connection to her faith and her journey. Reflecting on her experiences, she shared, “Last fall, I went through a life-changing experience where I ended up in the ICU for seven days. For the first few days, I wasn’t even aware of my surroundings. But through faith, family, and friends, and my belief in God, I came through the ordeal. When I recovered, I did so with my hands raised in praise. I want people to know that God truly understands our burdens.”

Erica Campbell inquired about Bradford’s musical journey, to which Bradford responded, “I come from a church background, having been raised in the church with my family. My grandmother played a significant role in my spiritual upbringing, and I’m a firm believer that everything is possible through God.” She also mentioned that she continues to serve at her home church, Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she sings regularly.
Looking ahead, Bradford hinted at future projects, saying, “I’m always working on new things. I have three albums out under my own label and might have something new coming in the spring of next year. I pace myself and always seek guidance from God before moving forward.”
