“God did that,” Holmes began, explaining the inspiration behind the track. “I felt that so many people had been expecting God to do what He said He would do for so long. And when God does it, we’re often left speechless, so I wanted to capture that moment of joy and praise.” He continued, “It’s like we’re practicing our testimony before it even happens. And the one thing I know for sure is that God did that.” The track, which has taken off on social media, became a praise anthem for those who have been waiting on God’s promises.

Holmes, who hails from Atlanta, Georgia, shared more about his background and journey in music. Raised in the church, Holmes recalled singing in the senior choir at just three years old, laughing as he recalled how, “In the church, there’s no age limit. If you can sing, you’re in the choir!” His musical gifts were nurtured from a young age, and the Lord’s guidance led him to pursue his passion.

“My debut single, ‘Miracle Worker,’ soared to incredible heights, and being part of Maverick City’s ‘I Thank God’ allowed me to reach a global audience,” Holmes reflected. “It’s been amazing to see how my music has transcended cultural boundaries. There’s no one but God behind this, and I’m just grateful.” He also spoke about his upbringing, which wasn’t without its struggles. Raised by a single mom, Holmes faced many challenges, including being expelled from two counties before finding a transformative experience at Harvest Tabernacle in 2008. “That’s when my life truly changed,” he shared. “I want my music to serve as a message of hope, especially for parents who feel like their children are too far gone.”

Holmes’ new record, You Are Gonna See It, is available for download, and he encouraged listeners to connect with him on social media through Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube for more updates and inspiration.
