“We just wanted to flip it a little bit and put some new energy to it,” Jason explained. “It promises to give you life, bring joy to your heart, and, most importantly, spread the message of Jesus’ coming.”
Behind the scenes, Jason credited his team of arrangers and writers for bringing the project together seamlessly. He described a collaborative process where ideas flowed and evolved as the choir rehearsed, resulting in a vibrant, heartfelt performance. “No man is an island,” Jason said. “It’s all about the team, and the energy just felt real as it came together.”

Reflecting on his roots, Jason shared that while he doesn’t miss leading music full-time at West Angeles Church of God in Christ, he still finds joy in returning to smaller, family churches. “Sometimes I just walk in, jump on the organ, and tell whoever’s playing, ‘Y’all gotta get up—I’m here!’” he said with a laugh, emphasizing the importance of staying connected to his faith and community.
