Singer, songwriter, and Christian artist Jamie Grace stopped by Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell to share what she’s been up to—and she’s been busy. From dropping new music to opening her own recording studio and mentoring kids, Jamie’s heart for God and creative expression is louder than ever. She kicked off her visit by introducing her latest single, Wonderful, a bright and uplifting track that celebrates the joy of faith and creativity.

Erica praised the new music and Jamie’s ability to merge pop, Southern gospel, and traditional Christian sounds. Jamie reflected on her evolution as an artist and producer, saying she still draws inspiration from her childhood and her early love for gospel music. “I’ve gotten to produce all of my own stuff over the last five to seven years,” she explained. “It’s been really cool to connect with those old church sounds and mix in banjos, 808s—just having fun with it. The older we get, sometimes we forget how fun creating can be. I just want to enjoy what God made me to do.”

The conversation turned to the industry and how difficult it can be for women and young people to find safe, creative environments. That’s where Jamie’s latest venture, The Wonderspace in Atlanta, comes in. “There are so many women who are amazing engineers and musicians, but they’re not always given the same chances as men,” she said. “So I was super intentional with this space. Almost everything is pink, purple, neon—yes, it glows in the dark—and yes, we’re still producing incredible music.”

Jamie also emphasized that safety was non-negotiable when she launched the space. After starting her own career as a teenager, she recalled how unsafe some studio experiences could be. “I wanted to make sure teenagers and kids had a space where they could create without fear,” she said. “This is just Jesus and art.”

Her love for young creatives also led her to start the New Kids Choir, where she works with a rotating group of teens who come in on Saturdays to reimagine old-school hymns and gospel tracks. “This gives a 14-year-old a chance to be part of something bigger, something meaningful. And yes, we sing a lot of Erika Campbell songs too,” Jamie added with a laugh.
