Someone else in Charley’s pockets – Ralph Angel (Kofi Siriboe). Darla (Bianca Lawson) is coming for Blue with a 70-30 custody request balanced in her favor. Oh, really Darla? You put another man’s baby on the Bordelon family, you turned tricks in front of your son while you were on drugs, you lied to Ralph Angel about Blue’s paternity for years and now you’re the most stable parent unwilling to work out at least a 50/50 split? On top of that, you’re throwing veiled hints about what you’d do to make it happen? Bitch, please. Ralph Angel don’t know you and we don’t either. Is it the bad wig jacking up your brain cells?

But at least now we know Ralph Angel’s name is on the birth certificate, I don’t know how that works in Louisiana, but I do know once you accept being the legal father, the financial responsibility is on you and so is any paternity, whether it’s by bloodline or not. But Charley still comes through with a high-powered lawyer. But of course.

And it looks like she’s going to need one for Micah (Nicholas Ashe) because this fool and his friends done burnt down a building on the plantation..by accident, although how could you not see how candles and old buildings don’t go together? Sigh. Their hearts were in the right place. But looks like it’s going to take more of Charley throwing on her superwoman cape and saving the day once again.

I love that Charley represents so many strong women that are the ones their families lean on for support while they spin into dysfunction. It is just so real. But at some point Charley deserves a break…or will hit her breaking point. It’s going to be an interesting ride over the next four episodes. Is it me or do these seasons go by just too fast?
