Musiq Soulchild’s classic R&B hit “Love” debuted on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hop-Hop charts on December 30, 2000, spent 38 weeks on the chart (its last being September 15, 2001), peaking at #2. The song (almost exactly) replicates gospel group Trini-i-tee’s (made up of singers Chanelle Haynes, Angel Taylor, and Terri Brown-Britton) original worship version, entitled “Lord”.
