Henderson, who has been a guest on “Get Up Morning” before, shared that while the Lighthouse Church building is in poor condition, the church itself is thriving. “The building is down, the church is still open,” he said. Thanks to a generous offer from Pastor Joel Osteen, the church will be temporarily hosted at Lakewood Church throughout August while they plan their next steps.

In their chat, Henderson also delved into his book, Lazy Love. He explained that the book explores how he realized his own shortcomings in love and relationships, attributing it to his “lazy” approach to love during a difficult period in his life. Henderson revealed that the book was inspired by his personal journey through divorce and the realization that his approach to love needed to change.

The book discusses four types of love mentioned in the Bible—agape, phileo, storge, and eros—each with its own role in relationships. Henderson highlighted that these types of love often encounter threats and challenges, which he addresses in the book.

One of the key messages of Lazy Love is that while you can give without loving, you cannot love without giving. Henderson also pointed out that unhealthy relational patterns often stem from a lack of effort, likening it to the “sloth” mentioned in the Bible, which symbolizes laziness and sluggishness.

The book, available on Audible, comes out on August 6th, and Henderson is excited about its release. He’s also embarking on a tour, starting with the Jesus Girls Summit in Richmond, Virginia, on August 2nd, and will be visiting cities like Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

Erica Campbell and the team expressed their support for Henderson’s book and ongoing church efforts. “We speak bigger and better over your life,” Campbell said, offering prayers for Henderson and his church.
