Adams introduced her new single “Church Doors,” describing it as a collaborative effort that reflects her desire to share her faith and life experiences. “Church doors mean something different for everyone… everybody has a testimony of going through and coming out,” she explained.

Erica expressed amazement that it had been 13 years since Yolanda last released music, praising her for staying relevant through other ventures like Kingdom Business. Yolanda explained that she had been working on new music before the pandemic, but the project was delayed due to COVID-19 and the success of Kingdom Business. “Life just keeps on lifeing, and thank God for the blessing,” she said, acknowledging the challenges of balancing her many roles.

Despite the long gap between releases, Adams has remained busy with various projects, including the success of Kingdom Business. She shared that her new music was delayed by the pandemic and the demands of the show, but now she’s focused on getting it out. “Life just keeps on lifeing, and thank God for the blessing,” Adams said.

Adams also discussed her portrayal of Danita Jordan in Kingdom Business, noting that she intentionally created a character very different from herself to keep audiences guessing. “I didn’t want to play a character that was so close to me… I wanted to play somebody that folks would have to guess, wait, wait a minute, is she really like that in real life?”
