So I started my loc journey on August 17, 2017. I loved my locs and even though I had heat damage I thought they looked beautiful. But after a couple months, my locs started to thicken and I really noticed how large my parts were and how big my locs were going to be. I went back and forth about and finally asked my loctitian to take them down and let’s restart. We had a difference of opinion when it came to hair care and I chose to find another stylist. She listened to my desires and was able to restart my locs to my satisfaction. These are YOUR locs attached to YOUR head. This is YOUR loc journey. It should be everything you want it to be & more. If at any step during the process you find yourself unhappy or unfulfilled, then you change it. I think this advice could definitely be applied to all aspects of life as well. So my new babies were created on October 17th and every day I find more of a reason to love my locs. I’m 2.5 months in this thang and can’t wait until month 6. I heard that’s where all the action is 😝🙃. Feel free to share your road to locs.
