Williams expressed his excitement about the track, which he collaborated on with renowned producer Norman Hutchins. “When I heard the song, I thought it had that Memphis kind of Stax Records vibe, with horns and everything,” he shared. Williams initially considered doing a duet with Hutchins but ultimately embraced the opportunity to perform the song solo. He remarked, “Well, God just dropped this song in my lap,” showcasing his gratitude for the unexpected blessing.

Reflecting on his humble beginnings in Smithdale, Mississippi, Williams attributed his character and values to his parents’ teachings. “They raised us the right way, took us to church, and told us to treat everybody the way we wanted to be treated,” he noted. This foundation has profoundly influenced both his career and his interactions with others in the music industry.

Erica Campbell asked Williams if he still finds joy in making music, to which he enthusiastically replied, “Oh, yes! Music is everything to me in my life.” He highlighted the importance of gratitude, saying, “When you look back over your life and see how far God has brought you from… you gotta be thankful.”
