Gospel Artist Danielle Stevens and Producer Sean Keys Talk New Single “Thy Will Be Done”

This powerful song, described by Stevens as “an urban prayer to flair,” centers on surrendering to God’s will. “It’s a message about opening that direct communication line with God and learning to let His will be done in our lives,” Stevens explained, adding that the song reflects how people often try to follow their own will rather than surrender to God’s plan.

Stevens, a youth pastor at Elevate Church in Baton Rouge, shared her background in gospel music, having led church choirs since she was six. Working with Keys has allowed her to develop her songwriting, a journey she’s excited to expand beyond the church. Keys, who has produced for several gospel artists, praised Stevens’ growth and dedication, saying, “She got in the studio and nailed the song in just an hour and a half. I told her, we’ve got something special here.” Their collaboration with songwriter Adolphus Scott has led to a second single, following their previous release, Favor.

As for future plans, Stevens hinted at a potential EP, depending on the traction Thy Will Be Done receives. Keys, who recently collaborated on tracks with gospel artists like Josh Copeland and David Brat, expressed his excitement for Stevens’ career, saying, “God is good, and I’m thrilled for what’s ahead for Danielle.”
