National recording artist Johnny Sanders joined Get Up Mornings to chat about his newly released Christmas single, Christmas Every Day. The festive track, which features Faith on Full, is all about keeping the Christmas spirit alive year-round.

During the interview, Sanders explained the inspiration behind the song, emphasizing the sense of kindness, love, and giving that fills the air during the holiday season. “During Christmas, we see people are nicer, they take care of each other, they’re more giving, they’re more loving,” Sanders shared. “The song is really speaking to keeping that spirit alive, not the commercialism of Christmas, but more so the love and care that we have, even for people we don’t know.”
Sanders also reflected on how his international travels have influenced his music. He shared how visiting various parts of the world, including Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean, has allowed him to see how different cultures express their love for God. “It inspires me to be able to share some of that, as much as I can, without being them,” he said, highlighting the impact of cultural diversity on his creative process.

When asked about holiday traditions in his household, Sanders revealed that the holidays are a time for fun, food, and family. “It’s all about the food,” he said. “We have our competitions, making sure people keep their culinary skills sharp. We do sweater contests, lots of games, and just hang around, enjoying each other.” He stressed that with busy lives, the holidays offer a special opportunity to slow down, spend time together, and show love.

Looking ahead, Sanders has even more in store for his fans.
