Love, commitment, and legacy—these are the things that have been on my heart today, and I can’t help but celebrate two people who have shown me what real, lasting love looks like. My parents, Campbell Warren and Sandra Campbell, are celebrating 50 years of marriage, and their journey has been the most beautiful example of what it means to love intentionally.

I’ve watched them love and care for our family through every season of life. Even as they’ve gotten older, they’ve remained so attentive to each other, making the decision to keep their love strong. Y’all, they even go to therapy at this stage in life just to make sure they continue loving each other well and don’t become grumpy! Because, let’s be real, we all know how easy it is for people to get grumpy with age. But they choose love. Every single day.

What I love most is how intentional they’ve been about family. When Warren came into my life, he made a promise to my dad before he passed, telling him, “I know I can’t be you, but I will father her as much as she will allow.” That’s the kind of man he is, and my dad trusted him with my heart. And my mama? She didn’t just welcome me into marriage as a daughter-in-law—she told me, “I don’t want another daughter-in-law, I want a daughter.” That meant everything to me.

Has their journey been easy? No. Have they had moments of frustration? Absolutely. But through it all, they’ve remained committed. They are committed to love, to family, and to each other. And today, as they celebrate 50 years, I just want to honor them. They’ve shown me and Warren, and our entire family, what it looks like to fight for love and legacy.
