BeBe Winans Says ‘All to Thee’ Is a Song for Every Storm

Gospel icon BeBe Winans is back with new music, and this time he’s hoping to give listeners something they can hold onto through life’s toughest moments.
During a recent appearance on Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell, Winans spoke with Mr. Griff about his new single, “All to Thee,” describing it as a modern-day hymn inspired by the timeless songs that helped shape his own faith.

When asked about the inspiration behind the song, Winans explained that life’s experiences have taught him the importance of putting complete trust in God.
“One of the things that you learn through experience and through time is that if you wanna make it through all the turns of life, you learn that God needs all of your trust and all of your needs and wants and all your declarations,” he said.
After the song played on the air, Mr. Griff praised it, saying it sounded like “a 2026 hymn” and asking whether Winans intentionally set out to create a song that felt like the traditional hymns many people grew up singing in church.
Winans said that was exactly his goal.
“Always been my desire to write something in that form because, you know, when I think about it, the hymns that we were brought up on, those are the songs, those are the rocks of our lives that we can lean on through the storm,” he said. “This song is my hymn, and I pray it will be that rock that people can lean on no matter where they are in life.”
He also hopes the song reaches younger listeners who may not have grown up with those classic church hymns.
“I pray that young people that are listening can grab on this and just know that this can bring you through no matter what you’re going through,” Winans shared. “It’ll serve as that rock for many years to come.”
While Winans has built a career that spans gospel, R&B, Broadway, television and live event hosting, he hinted that even more is on the way. Although he kept the details under wraps, he revealed that he’ll return in September to announce an exciting new project.

Instead of focusing on what’s next, however, Winans encouraged listeners to trust God’s timing.
“You don’t have to know what’s coming next. Just know that God is in the background preparing it, and it’s great,” he said.

The interview ended on a lighthearted note as Winans and Mr. Griff bonded over being September birthdays and joked that people born in September are the only ones qualified to sing Earth, Wind & Fire songs.
For now, Winans is encouraging fans to stream “All to Thee,” a song he hopes will become a source of comfort and encouragement for anyone facing life’s storms.
