Hey, family. I want to share something personal that I’ve been dealing with this year. As many of you know, I’m always busy with work, traveling, and singing, but behind the scenes, I’ve been facing a challenge with my voice. Some medication I took dried out my vocal cords, affecting my ability to sing at full range. It’s been a tough journey, but through it all, I’ve been holding on to God’s promises.

Every day, I declare, “I am healed, whole, and complete in the name of Jesus,” even when the struggle feels overwhelming. I’ve seen glimpses of the voice I know, only to face setbacks again. But I refuse to believe that God will only heal me halfway. He’s a complete God who does amazing things beyond our imagination.

There are moments when fear tries to stop me. Offers to perform come in, and I hear this voice saying, “Erica, you don’t know if your voice will show up, so don’t do it.” But I won’t let fear win. My faith means I trust God no matter how I feel or what I see. I’ve gone to vocal coaches, ENT specialists, and even a vocal rehabilitation facility to figure out what’s going on. Despite all of that, I still believe in God’s ability to heal me completely.

This year has also been a lesson in understanding how medications can interact. My doctor pointed out that some of the things I’ve been taking have worked against each other, causing more harm than good. It’s been a lot to process, but I’m learning and trusting God through it all.

I know I’m not alone in this. Sometimes we think our favorite pastors, singers, or leaders have it all together, but the truth is, we’re often pushing through the same struggles you are. I want you to know that I’m praying for you just as I ask you to pray for me.

This weekend, I have a big responsibility at Carnegie Hall, and I know God is going to show up strong like He always does. I won’t let any negative voice make me doubt His power. If He can bring me through, I know He can do the same for you. Let’s keep trusting Him together.
